Well after a few years of running this on a VIA mini-itx EPIA board  I decided to take the plunge and upgrade the motherboard.

Still wanting to stay in the mini-itx environment I eventually plunged for the Intel  D945GCLF2, which is a dual core atom 330 system.  Low profile, low power, a wee bit more horsepower. This also means I can upgrade to the latest linux distribution.

It’s a powerful wee system and so far is meeting my expectations.
